Mylaps.com no longer appears to sell the orange MX transponder. Is the new X2 transponder acceptable to use in Baja SAE?

Answer
Yes. Because the Classic MX and MX Flex transponders can now no longer be purchased from MyLaps, every team needing a new transponder will have to buy the X2 (or a used MX transponder from somewhere).

We have published a tech bulletin about this (since the Baja Rules still state that the MX transponder is the one that must be used). The tech bulletin provides further guidance on how to properly account for the X2 subscription cost in your cost report.
