What kind of alternators can I run?
Answer
There are three OEM charging systems you can run on your Briggs and Stratton motor.
3 amp (DC unregulated)
695485 Flywheel (with magnet ring for alternator)
695730 Alternator (stator)
691183 Screws for mounting alternator (2 required)
692306 Wire & Socket for alternator (to battery positive)
10 amp (DC regulated)
794812 - Flywheel
695466 - Alternator
845907 - Regulator
690297 - Screw
699772 - Screw (4 required)
20 amp (DC Regulated)
795497 - Flywheel
790320 - Alternator
790325 - Regulator
690326 - Screw
699772 - Screw (4 required)
You may NOT run an external alternator. Only the above OEM B&S systems are allowed.
