Question
What kind of alternators can I run?
Answer
There are three OEM charging systems you can run on your Briggs and Stratton motor.



3 amp (DC unregulated)

  • 695485 Flywheel (with magnet ring for alternator)

  • 695730 Alternator (stator)

  • 691183 Screws for mounting alternator (2 required)

  • 692306 Wire & Socket for alternator (to battery positive)


10 amp (DC regulated) 

  • 794812 - Flywheel

  • 695466 - Alternator

  • 845907 - Regulator

  • 690297 - Screw

  • 699772 - Screw (4 required)


20 amp (DC Regulated)

  • 795497 - Flywheel

  • 790320 - Alternator

  • 790325 - Regulator

  • 690326 - Screw

  • 699772 - Screw (4 required)




You may NOT run an external alternator. Only the above OEM B&S systems are allowed.
