Baja SAE teams will continue to compete in a virtual format for the Business Presentation Event. All teams competing in the series will be assigned a time during April 14 – 15, 2022, to present their business presentation to judges from industry. As noted in the rules, scores will apply to all onsite competitions the team is attending. Teams will only be ranked against teams attending the same competition. Each location will host Business Presentation Finals onsite. Teams will be notified in advance approximately 10 days before in-person competition.
Now available online under the Series Resources – Business Presentation Event Resources folder is the 2022Baja SAE Business Presentation Event Description and Guideline. This document will provide teams an insight into the changes for the 2022 competition season, expectations for 2022 and the concept to which their presentation should be directed. Also published in advance is the 2022 Scoresheet judges will use when evaluating student team presentations.
SAE and Event Captains will work on a team static schedule providing teams their assigned times after the required submission deadline. SAE staff will also work with student teams on getting access to private virtual appointments used for judging. This year, SAE will be using a service called Hopin.
Reminder:
Document submission is mandatory. Failure to meet this requirement can remove your team from the registration list. Participation in virtual Business Presentation Event is expected. Teams who do not show will receive 0 points. Reminder this event is now worth 75 points of the total score.
