Important Note: As the Baja SAE competition enters its 50th anniversary, the legacy of Mike Schmidt continues beyond the end of season award. In celebration of this milestone and to symbolize excellence, innovation, and perseverance in collegiate engineering at all 3 Baja SAE events, the top 10 ranked teams from the 2025 season will be honored with competition numbers 1 through 10 for the 2026 season, an elite designation that reflects their outstanding performance. Additionally, all team numbers will be standardized across all Baja SAE events in 2026, marking a new era of consistency and recognition for participating teams.
