Brake Event Volunteer

Position Description:

This is a technical inspection requirement where the braking performance of the car is tested. All cars must accelerate and then lock up wheels before being allowed to run in the on-track events.

Brake Test Volunteers will conduct brake tests of each vehicle to make sure wheels’ lock when car brakes and verify car/driver can remain in control. Volunteer will be responsible for keeping track of pass/fail attempts and handing out the final tech sticker.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/ Experience:

Brake Volunteers should have a general familiarity with motor vehicles and be comfortable around moving vehicles.

Orientation and Training:

All volunteers will need to read the rules and will be given onsite training at the competition.
