Sales Presentation Rules Update
In order to help reduce confusion between the Sales Presentation rules section and rubric, there have been some updates to the Sales Presentation section of the ruleset. These changes replace any previous versions. The rules have been updated and republished at www.bajasae.net/go/downloads.
C.5.1 - Objective
The objective of the Sales Presentation is for the team to persuade the “executives” of a hypothetical manufacturing company to invest in the team’s Baja SAE® vehicle design, manufacturing, sales, and distribution. The team should assume they will be producing the vehicle at a rate of 4,000 units per year. See the judging rubric for further context.
C.5.4.1 - Determination of Winner
The team that makes the best presentation will receive the highest score regardless of the finished quality of their actual vehicle. The team’s score will be the average of the individual judge’s scores. An alternate method of scoring can be used at the discretion of the event lead, in an attempt to normalize scores across judging rooms. The maximum standard points a team can be awarded is 50 points.
